Stars of the Branson Belle Showboat

During the show on the Branson Belle there was a ventriloquist who used dogs in his act.  By squeezing their necks made it seem as if they could howl and talk.

At one point during his act he chose two people from the audience to join him on the stage.  The two he chose at random were Donna (Hargis) Kissinger and Doug Mattenlee.

The ventriloquist introduced Donna and Doug to each other as if they did not know each other.  They went along with the gag even though they had known each other since grade school days.

During the act the ventriloquist would squeeze Donna's and/or Doug's necks to make them howl and say what he wanted them to appear to say.

We classmates in the audience howled with laughter.   This performance by Donna and Doug was the hit of the Branson Reunion for the rest of us.

Naturally, Doug and Donna had to repeat their star performances at various times during the reunion.  One such time was them posing and howling by the large head outside the Yakov Show.
