FUN IN OPERA was the subject of a lecture last night at the Public library opening a series of eight sessions. Mrs. Sandra Jones (right) discussed the Puccini farce, “Gianni Schicchi. With her are (left to right) Mr. and Mrs. Milton Wallace; Jill Ingram, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert P. Ingram, and Mrs. Jones’ husband.

For the third consecutive summer, a group of Kansas City citizens is giving a pre-season series of lecture-demonstrations to prove one point, opera can be fun.
The talks are being presented Tuesday and Thursday nights in the fifth-floor public library building and will cover by September 17 each of the productions to be offered this
Last night’s topic was Puccini’s one-act farce, “Gianni Schicchi.” The presentation given by Mrs. Sandra Jones, was one hour long. It began with a brief discussion of the plot and the musical themes. Then a recording of the opera was played while Mrs. Jones showed illustrations of the various scenes
